Full-stack engineer with a backend soul. I ship 0 → 1 products and the unglamorous infrastructure that keeps them honest.
I'm a Staff Engineer at Ketch, working on privacy and data-governance infrastructure. Officially full-stack — I can hold my own on the frontend when the work calls for it — but my center of gravity sits firmly on the backend. Systems, services, and the quiet plumbing are where I'm happiest. Before this, I was the solo founding engineer at July AI, where I built an AI safety red-teaming and evaluation platform from a blank repo to a working product used by an in-house research team.
My career has been more zigzag than ladder: network engineering, product management, then several startup engineering seats at Pebble, Enjoy, Charma, and Clockwise. Along the way I've co-founded two companies — Picpler and Venturi Media — and taken a few other 0 → 1 swings as a founding engineer. The through-line is an entrepreneurial streak and a stubborn interest in systems that scale, developer experience, and the quiet plumbing — auth, payments, pipelines, eval harnesses — that makes a product feel solid.
These days I'm deep in Go, Rails, React, Postgres, and the long tail of distributed systems patterns. Outside work, I tend to a small Dokku VPS, a Raspberry Pi cluster of side projects, and a citrus tree that is, against the odds, surviving San Jose.

intimio.appWhen I'm not in a terminal: I bake (poorly at first, then surprisingly well), play more PC games than I'll admit, and chase yellow balls around tennis courts and frisbees across fields.
